OSSTEM Singapore Holds “OSSTEM MEETING 2008 Singapore”
-- Singapore’s Largest Academic Event
-- 5 Live Surgeries a Day Drawing Great Responses
OSSTEM Singapore held the “OSSTEM MEETING 2008 Singapore” in Conrad International Centennial Hotel on October 5.
The first “OSSTEM MEETING Singapore” was held last year; the 2nd meeting this year was held with the theme “Early & Esthetic,” becoming a huge success with the participation of more than 360 dentists in Singapore.
Featuring 5 live surgeries performed by local dentists and 3 academic lectures, the “OSSTEM MEETING 2008 Singapore” was considered the best academic conference on implant in Singapore in terms of scale and quality.
“The lecture room was filled with enthusiasm, and all the participants had their eyes glued to the live surgery. Five live surgeries a day – this is definitely a first in the history of dental academic events in Singapore,” a source from OSSTEM Singapore said.
During the live surgery, Dr. Winston Tan performed “Distraction Osteogenesis for Implant Patient,” whereas Dr. Chong Issac dealt with “Laser-Assisted Dentistry: The Future, Now!” using Kavo KEY (Er.YAG) Laser.
On the other hand, Dr. Chan Siew Luen performed “Sinus Bone Graft with Chin Bone,” Dr. Steven Ang performed an “Implant Placement Using CT-Guided Surgery,” and Dr. Go Wee Ser did a “Stage 1 Implant with Ridge Split Technique.” All surgeries received great responses from the participants.
As the invited speaker, Mr. Tae-gwan, Eom, president of OSSTEM IMPLANT R&D Center, gave a speech on the “User Guide Design Concept of the GSⅡ & GSⅢ Implant Systems.” Dr. Dae-Hyun Lee from Hong Kong also spoke on the “Use of Kavo KEY (Er.YAG) Laser3 in Periodontal Treatment.”
In addition, Dr. Christopher Sim gave an in-depth speech on the “Clinical Performance of the OSSTEM GSII System in a Private Practice Setting.”
