-- Attended by over 400 local dentists alone; event has grown into an international scientific conference for implants
-- Considered a huge success
“OSSTEM Meeting 2008 HONG KONG” was held at the Langham Hotel in Hong Kong on August 31. Hosted by OSSTEM Hong Kong Ltd., the event was considered a huge success.
This event was held for the second time since 2007 under the theme “Early & Esthetic,” consisting of five lectures and a live surgery attended by 400 Hong Kong dentists.
For the second time, the highlight of “OSSTEM Meeting 2008 HONG KONG” was the live surgery performed by George Chi-to Lok titled “Placement of GSIII Fixtures Using the Split Ridge Technique.”
In addition, Dr. Patrick Bing-Chi Wu, a distinguished Hong Kong implant clinician, gave a lecture titled “Art & Science of Immediate Loading.” Four invited speakers from Korea also gave excellent talks on various topics such as “Comprehensive approach for implant restoration in poor quality.”
During the Q&A session with the speakers after the lectures, in-depth clinical discussions on implants ensued between Hong Kong and Korean dentists. Such discussions were at an international forum level, deeply impressing the participants.
“OSSTEM Meeting 2008 HONG KONG” earned raves for providing Hong Kong dentists with a successful scientific forum including a vivid live implant surgery as well as clinical poster presentations and OSSTEM Implant System exhibits that enabled the sharing of the latest clinical knowledge on implants.
"The OSSTEM Meeting, which was held for the second time since last year, was a great opportunity to show effectively to Hong Kong dentists the high implant clinical levels and excellence of the OSSTEM Implant System," said Michael Kim, CEO of OSSTEM Hong Kong Ltd.
