Taiwanese dentists got excited over the live implant surgery, one of the highlights of the “OSSTEM Meeting 2008 Taiwan” successfully hosted for the second time since 2007 in Taipei by OSSTEM Taiwan Corporation.
Held at the Taipei Convention Center on July 20, “OSSTEM Meeting 2008 Taiwan” was attended by 1,560 Taiwanese dentists. It was the largest scientific conference on dentistry held in Taiwan.
For this year’s event, Professor Kim, Young-kyun, an invited speaker from Korea, gave a talk titled “Osteoporosis: a Contraindication for Dental Implants?” On the other hand, Dr. Jeon, In-song performed a live implant surgery titled “Anterior Implant Placement with Horizontal Ridge Augmentation,” earning raves from the Taiwanese dentists.
The live surgery performed in the surgical ward of Taipei Medical School was broadcast live to the Taipei Convention Center using SNG. The lively Q&A suggested the strong interest of more than 1,500 participants.
In addition, four prominent implant clinicians gave high-caliber lectures. The Taiwan OSSTEM Meeting was widely acclaimed for having provided a forum where the latest clinical knowledge on implants could be shared.
Furthermore, there were various inquiries and consultations in booths where the clinical poster presentations and OSSTEM Implant Systems were exhibited. Interest in OSSTEM Implants was running high.
“I am very happy that 'OSSTEM Meeting 2008 Taiwan,' which was held for the second time since 2007, was a big success. This was a particularly good opportunity to inform the dentists in Taiwan of the excellence of the OSSTEM Implant System. We shall continue striving for our customers,” said Sung, Gyo-sang, CEO of OSSTEM Taiwan Corporation.
