OSSTEM also leads in world bone science

OSSTEM shows that it also leads in bone science, with its Institute of Bone Science opening and holding a commemorative symposium.

Established by OSSTEM IMPLANT in January of this year, the OSSTEM Institute of Bone Science (director: Kim, Hyun-man, professor, School of Dentistry, Seoul National University), hosted a symposium under the theme “The Present and Future of the Skeletal System Regeneration Science” at the Lotte Hotel, Seoul on June 14.

Experts in fields related to skeletal system regeneration attended this symposium, which was held on the occasion of the opening of the OSSTEM Institute of Bone Science.

During the symposium, a total of six experts including professors from Seoul National University’s School of Dentistry gave presentations related to the theme.

The presentations on bone cell biology, bone formation-inducing elements and stem cells, 3D solid freeform fabrication technology, titanium implant surface, ceramic as a bone substitute material, and biomechanics gave the audience a glimpse of the present and future of each area.

“We plan to continue investing in R&D so that the OSSTEM Institute of Bone Science becomes a world leader in the bone science area,” said CEO Choi, Kyoo-ok.

The OSSTEM Institute of Bone Science was established in Seoul in January of this year to carry out research on basic bone science, which can serve as the foundation knowledge for bone biology, bone regeneration science, bone bio materials, and tissue engineering to develop the world’s best implants.
