-- Hands-on approach based on the degree of difficulty “popular”
A total of 15 nations participated in the implant training conference hosted by OSSTEM IMPLANT from April 11~15 in time for the “2008 AIC World Meeting.” Dentists from nations all over the world were invited to participate in the event.
This year’s training conference, which was divided between the Seoul AIC Center and Seoul National University Dental Hospital, featured various clinical lectures and practice sessions matching the clinical levels of the participants.
According to Kee, Hyun-ju, team leader at the AIC Center, various implant training programs were organized so that the participants could choose after they were introduced. “There were more applicants than we expected for the advanced level compared to the basic level. A total of 515 dentists from 15 nations participated in this course. We created a separate class for the dentists from China because of the large number of participants. Those from other nations were allowed to select the training sessions that were suitable for them,” she explained.
Various sessions including the Sinus Course, Hard Tissue Management, and Sinus Bone Graft were held during the training conference. The lectures and practice sessions were conducted by distinguished implant clinicians serving as course directors at AIC.
Ms. Kee noted how the lecturers cannot even take breaks because the foreign dentists have so many questions. “This only goes to show the extensive clinical know-how of the lecturers and the good one-to-one assistance provided by the training conference staff,” she said.
